Warriors Of Decay

Story: So the story is called Warriors of Decay, which already sounds like a film that would go straight to DVD. ahahah A boy at the age of 13 got revenge on vikings who pillaged his village and murdered his parents. This pimp ass kid swims out to SEA BURNS DOWN THEIR SHIPS! What a cool kid right? He grows up, 13 years later he goes on a treasure hunt to reclaim his families riches with a dwarf named bojo in caves and stuff. So the assignment is do a playstation game cover, and It says its a combination of Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. But we are allowed to do whatever with it, so i did a Poster thing.

O and thanks Po for the cliff mountain platform suggestion. Was all you! haha

Alan Dolma Dawa Digital Painting

I was really bored, kind of pissed off. Hahah what?? well lately , all i do is make art for school, and freelance. It takes the fun out of it all. So after falling in love with Alan Dolma Dawa, i thought id paint her. It was really fun going back to my roots. I'm so rusty though and i truly feel she is much more beautiful then this drawing and i hope to do more on my spare time. This was also a super fail, because i wanted to do a process painting on this. WHen i was done painting, it turned out that i was recording the wrong monitor the whole time..... O well, theres always next time.

Wow, i found some old stuff!! Screen cap copies/speed paints of Call of Duty, and one from Starcraft. This was in anticipation for adv. persp. did all of them in the span of one night, and put it down... I was suppose to do a bunch all summer, but its hard to say that i actually learned anything from it other then, copy faster. I guess composition?? And some rendering techniques. maybe i ono. After taking Jokos class, it had little to do with rendering, and more to do with composition and storytelling. So i guess these do help in that sense. I do think however, it would be a lot better to try it now, with adv. perspective class under my belt. I would better analyze the picture as i work.

Im ashamed of myself. After midterm i was so drained, and i wasnt able to put as much work into my classes as i wanted, specially ADV persp. Week after week, i would do all nighters doing 3 illustrations in one night. It really hurt me. i tell you now, it is a big big big mistake to take 4 classes when taking this class. Ideally 2, 3 at most. I said suck it up and stop bitchen. Now i really regret it.

Finished Preliminary works, so frustrating putting it together, cause i found out the lady resized all the pieces. So the faces were all getting messed up, so where i could salvage, i would cut around parts i didnt need to line up. in Joko's words, "ghetto" The Finished illustration was
printed at another place, someone had the exact same issue.

Sociology Project
So we had to do something that would benefit society etc. And i chose to do something for the homeless. Its a 3d model of a public shower. For our midterm we had to do like field research, ran around the city interviewing the homeless. I found out many would shower if they could.It was so painful learning how to use 3d, cause i had to do it in one day. It was fun i wanna do more.

Fuck im late. Life is hitting me like never before. My intuos broke after about 3 months, not even using my own wacom now. and im back though. I finished this tonight, and i have to have a bird done by monday. Ontop of that, other classes. I swear i put too much time in this class. Well its worth it. Im getting a lot of what "I" want and need out of the class.

The last two weeks have been terrible. I have been working on a malfunctioned hardrive, and just thinking back on the horrors make me have an eye twitch. At one point i sat outside my apt on the stairs by the pool, having a long one on one talk with my imac(trying to cool it down) but it didnt work. But today, my dad discovered it was the hd, so i bought a new one today. YWAAYYY!Y!Y!!! RAWR IT WORKS!!!

It is getting really serious this semester. But im having a butt load of fun. I did pretty bad on the gorilla, cause i wasnt postuh exaggerate the animal so much, as it would "limit me professionally" But thats okay, i learned a lot, and ill fix it when i get the chance. As for week two assignment, i am really happy with it, but i think i did it completely wrong. Wasnt postuh have too much fun with the profile one, postuh be realistic, and no clothes i think . I'm pretty sure the entire class was pretty confused. The instructions were at time contradicting. For instance a discussion question was, which primeapes were most helpful in creating your creature? Later someone in the class realizes NO, stick to the primape you studied, ONE PRIMAPE! ah... head ache. But i decided to just have fun, soCheers. This class is exactly what i wanted from the school though. we are expected to have one of these a week. Really challenging. Just what i like. HahahahahahahI will def. keepm coming this semester.

Red Riding Hood In Space

Hey everyone. This is from my first visual dev. class. It was a lot of fun. So much happened this semester and sadly i wasnt able to commit as much time as i wanted, but this is what i was able to come up with for my final. We we had to choose from Dracula, Little Red, and Jack and the Beanstalk. I decided go with red and put her in space. I didnt wanna go too crazy with her, so i kept her as a cute girl.

The Story is of a female explorer that works for G. Ma (G. Ma is super computer that runs and maintains virtually everything the corporation is comprised of), that gathers crystals and ores from other planets for fuel and energy. Red in her mech suit "Hood" is sent out to a not yet excavated planet known as planet "Woodz" in search for the ores. She discovers that planet Woodz is rich with ores, so she quickly gathers some and leaves to return to with the good news. However lurking in the darkness were alien lifeforms. They watched and analyzed Red and learned she was the reason for the weakening of their planet. In anger, they send out a powerful creature to destroy G.Ma.

The creature makes it through all the guards and surveillance in the form of a dark gaseous cloud that is undetectable by human eye and technology. It successfully enters the central brain of G.Ma, and clouds up the system as a virus would, and overruns the entire operating system of G.Ma. by disguising itself as the G.Ma os. The Alien causes havoc and confusion, as the robots computers attack and destroy each other. Red was caught in the chaos and was not infected by the alien's virus. She desperately fights her own people off, both military and civilian vehicles machines robots etc. In the midst of all the destruction red sends signals out to no avail. Nearly everything was destroyed. The alien meets face to face with Red and explains it's motives, reasoning behind all of this madness "your kind is destroying our home planet so i was sent here to stop you." with this, it leaves in the form of a flying wolf thing.

As the Alien tries to escape, it is discovered by the lumber jack fleet responded to the signals and cries of distress from red and immediately came to destroy the fleeing creature. In a futile attempt to defend itself, the creature transforms from a flying wolf into a hard shelled rock asteroid looking wolf head.. thing. AND! Recieves a deadly blow from the famous and powerful Lumberjack Fleet. The G.Ma Co. systems took a mighty hit from the Aliens, but was saved and was able to recover from all destruction. I know kinda cheesy, but i tried to stay close to the original story. The End

By the way, this is an update. 2010 october, its been almost a year since avatar came out, i did this project before i even had an idea of what avatar was.

My final Reel for intro to Animation, with the great Edward Gutierrez. I almost fainted, and i saw my shorts light up (hallucinating) I missed the class, finishing this up. Luckily Ed stayed after class for my sorry butt. Thanks Ed.
